Privacy policy

Last updated: July 2, 2026

This policy describes how BeenSoberFor handles information in the website and native iOS app. BeenSoberFor is a sober-time counter and sharing tool, not medical treatment, diagnosis, or emergency support.

What we collect

We collect account details you provide, such as your name and email address, and profile details you choose to save, such as display name, photo, sober start date, short message, visibility settings, QR/share settings, and reset choices. We also collect technical logs, device and browser information, product interaction events, and diagnostic information needed to run, secure, debug, and improve the service.

Analytics and services

We use service providers for authentication, hosting, analytics, diagnostics, uploads, and security. These may include Supabase, Cloudflare, Google Analytics, and PostHog depending on the environment. Analytics help us understand page views, product interactions, performance, errors, and approximate region from network information. We do not sell your sobriety information.

Sharing and visibility

You choose whether your page is private, unlisted, or public, and whether search engines may index it. Default settings avoid indexing personal profile pages. If you share a public link, anyone with that link may be able to view the information you made visible.

Partner links

Some pages include a small sponsored or affiliate link to an external recovery education resource. If you tap that link, you leave BeenSoberFor and the destination site receives ordinary request information plus campaign parameters that identify BeenSoberFor as the referrer.

Your choices

You can update your profile, hide your sober start date, hide your photo, change visibility, disable search indexing, or delete your account from the app. Account deletion removes your account, public page, and app-owned profile data from active use. Some security, diagnostic, backup, or legal records may remain for a limited period when needed to operate the service or comply with obligations.
